Our family has stayed quite busy these last several weeks - a road trip to and from Arkansas, Stuart having a several-week stretch of more difficult work weeks (call/back up/clinic weeks without the respite of research!), AND we started nannying a newborn for a friend (who is also a fellow in another department, and they were not able to get their new babe into daycare until February, so we have her Monday-Friday every week until then)! But I didn't want to let these photos from earlier this fall get away, because cute boys. That's all.
Brothers on the tricycle
At one of our favorite parks
Felt craft! So easy, such a winner with the kids.
Most-requested breakfast: almond butter toast with grape jelly and coconut. Also, all the apples.
Getting chilly! (Also, not Samuel's 1st black eye... I can't even remember what caused this one.)
Another favorite park! Lots of park outings recently.
Daily afternoon exercise on the neighborhood trail (which has fallen off our schedule lately - hard to do with two boys and the newborn that I cannot wear due to my own baby growing on the inside, AND it gets dark so early now).
Cute Sammy bum after bath
James practicing letters... He also is starting to sound out words! I can't believe it.
New baby at 20 weeks!
Baking with James
Playing with BFF Ezra
Brinner (breakfast for dinner) picnic on the deck on a warm evening
Hanging with cousin Canaan at Mema and P\paw's. Also, matching PJs!
This is happening THIS WEEK! We are hosting/I am cooking this year because my mama had surgery yesterday... Hopefully she will feel recovered enough to join us on Thursday for the feast.
Cousins at Pullen Park in Raleigh
And the historic carousel there!
Halloween brothers
Coloring in church
The boys met some Durham officers in a coffee shop one morning - it was very busy and these two were particularly rowdy, so the police helped entertain them for the 20 minutes we waited in line/waited for our coffee. Thankful for our police!
Huge firewood load delivered - we have had many cozy fires already this season!
Took the boys to vote. Honestly, our family is rather disappointed and a little afraid of how the election resulted this year for our nation. We will continue to pray.
(Text from Stu after he proudly voted his conscience)
Foster's lunch date (post-voting)
My long-time friend (13 years!) Charissa periodically comes by for a naptime life chat and stays to snuggle with the boys after they wake up. She is such a jewel and I am grateful for her in my life!
First soup of the year (many weeks ago, dozens more have been made since!)
Stu playing music with Uncle Wen and James at our new church (which we LOVE - we are so grateful that the Lord brought us to All Saints).
Aunt Kay Kay doing some after nap reading with the brothers
