It was only a month ago, right! Only a little late on this one, too...
On 12/23, we celebrated our little Pierce family Christmas. I can't find the rest of the photos I took on my phone, so here are the two that Stuart took! But, for the record: he was there too, and we had a Christmas tree.
Later on the evening of 12/23, we drove to Zebulon for a couple of nights...

Christmas eve: Elf and crochet while Katie wraps gifts
A lot of the Acree holidays revolve around meals and good food. Sometimes fancy and adventurous and hard-to-make (mostly by Katie) and always delicious!

Cousins!

The star of the show: 18lb Prime Rib
Christmas Eve dinner: Stu, Uncle Matt & Aunt Mere
Like mother, like daughter
Creme brulee (our old tradition) and Yule Log (a new tradition!)

Facetime with Mom, as she was at Duke Hospital with her own mom (Mamma Parsons)
Made a visit to Duke to see my mom, Mamma Parsons and Aunt Val (somehow she didn't make it into any of these photos)
(They were able to fix Mamma up just fine, AND we got to see her on Christmas! A little bit of a hectic and crazy Christmas with all that excitement, but lovely just the same. And really: the food! Thanks Katie for trying lots of new, delicious and adventurous things!)
