Valentine's weekend

We had a really wonderful weekend around here... Stuart was on call Friday night, so the littles and I built a fire and snuggled up.  Saturday morning, we found out that Stuart (miraculously) got 7 hours of sleep at work overnight!  This never happens.  That means that when he got home from work mid-morning on Saturday, instead of napping all day until 5pm, he was awake and around and we all felt like we got tons of time together.  And we needed it.

Friday night snuggles

Saturday morning math project - graphing candy hearts from Pop (and also eating them)

Another Saturday project:  Finally replacing the disposal after 2 years of malfunction and repairing leaky pipes under the sink!

Saturday night board game with this big boy

Valentine's breakfast with James --  Stuart had to round, so he was at the hospital until about 1pm on Sunday.  Samuel started running a fever overnight (3:30am to be precise), so Sam slept in until 9:30am... I was exhausted after being up with Samuel, but it was so sweet to get some (rare) one-on-one time with James.

Pitiful sicky boy, totally uninterested in his fancy french toast

Pre-nap snuggles with daddy

James trying to get Sam to eat (which he wasn't interested in at all - this is how I knew that he REALLY didn't feel good, because eating is his very favorite activity)

We put the boys down a smidge early for bedtime and had a fancy dinner at home.  So fun!  I wore lipstick and heels (I didn't even do that for our wedding... I guess I'm finally growing up to be a woman).  Happy Valentine's day!
