Farmer's Market Outing

We love to go to the downtown Durgam market on Saturday mornings.  There's almost always live music, and often other fun things like pet adoptions, cooking demonstrations or... the giant bubble man (see below)!  Not to mention some favorite bakery booths (I'm looking at you, Ninth Street and Scratch Bakeries) that sell coffee, muffins, cinnamon rolls, scones and sausage croissant rolls. Early in the summer, we buy some strawberries too and have a complete breakfast. Otherwise, we bring our own watermelon. There's a large green space where we spread a blanket and hang out for a breakfast picnic.

We went this morning and introduced Samuel to our tradition.  I don't know why, but getting out of the house seems way easier this time around than it did when James was a newborn. Not that it's easier than it was a few weeks ago with just James, but really only slightly harder! I know having Stuart around for the time being helps. Anyways, I've been feeling physically really good since delivery, so we've been on some (outdoor) outings to keep things fun for James.  It has kept all of our sleep-deprived spirits up :)

These photos are from our family breakfast picnic at the market this morning! Stuart was there, too, but we don't have a photo of him :(
